Circulation Policies
Requirement to
present library card
To check out items from the library, you must present your library card
at the circulation desk. To renew your library
items by phone or online, you must provide your library card number.
If you have lost your card, you may
purchase a replacement card for $5.00.
How to apply for
a library card
Maximum number of items
checked out to one user
Adult titles: maximum of 45
Juvenile titles: maximum of 25
Video tapes and DVDs: maximum of 5
Nonfiction items: maximum of 4 titles on one subject (no more than 3 of
the 4 titles may be juvenile/young adult titles)
Loan periods
All items other than equipment: 14 days
Equipment: 2 days
Renewal limits
Items not on reserve for other patrons may be renewed twice, for a total
checkout
time of 6 weeks. Items on reserve may not be renewed.
Fines and fees
Daily fine per book: 25¢
Maximum fine per book: $6.00
Daily fine per video tape or DVD: $1.00
Maximum fine per video tape or DVD: $6.00
Fee to replace a lost library card: $5.00
Fee to replace a lost or damaged item: the current replacement cost of
the item plus a $5.00 processing fee
