Computer Center

The A. Mitchell Powell Jr. Public Library offers access to the Internet as well as to Microsoft Office software. With a valid library card, you may use one of the 24 workstations in the computer center. You may also bring your own laptop computer
or personal digital assistant to use the library’s wireless access to the Internet.

Signing in to use a computer
To use one of the library’s computers, you must sign in with your library card at an available workstation. When signing in, you must read and agree to abide by the library’s Internet acceptable use policy (PDF file*). If you have lost your library card, you may purchase a replacement card for $5.00.

How to apply for a library card

Time limit
You may use the computer center for up to three hours per day. After your first hour, your time will be limited if other patrons are waiting for an available computer.

Printing
You may print from the library’s computers for a charge of 15˘ per page. You must pay in advance for all pages that you select to print at the coin-operated print station. We recommend that you use the “Print Preview” feature before printing. The Reference Department staff can help you with printing.
