Schedule

designated Saturday mornings
Description
R.E.A.D.® (Reading
Education Assistance Dogs®) is a nationwide program for children in
grades K–3 who are experiencing difficulty in learning to read. The
program is designed to boost the self-esteem of new readers, which can
lead to success in the classroom.
On designated Tuesday
afternoons and Saturday mornings, a certified and trained pet
therapy dog is available at the library to inspire new readers to
succeed. The library offers three time slots of 20 minutes each—by
reservation—during these mornings.
Parents may call (770)
253-3625, option 5 (Youth Services Department), for more information and
for reservations.
