The Teen Vacation Reading Program, for ages 11–17, begins on May 23 and ends on July 18. Teens may register at the front desk or in the children’s room.

Teens reading 10 books on an appropriate
  reading level or for 20 hours on an
    appropriate reading level receive prizes
(from Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, Steak ’n Shake, and more), are invited to attend the annual teen pizza party, and qualify to enter the grand prize drawing.

    Participants should be prepared to show
  proof of age and that the books listed have been read.

The drawing will be held at the pizza party. The winner does not have to be present.

Art contest and story contest
Teens ages 11–17 may create a story or picture illustrating one of the themes: “Metamorphosis” or “Catch the Reading Bug.”

Winners receive a $25 gift card from Target and two passes from Georgian Cinemas.

Other summer activities include special performances during Storytime and Family Night. Teen Club also continues to meet during the summer.
